Petleys is very proud to present to you a collection of new paintings by Vicente Romero.
A glance at the paintings on this page should be quite enough to satisfy any art critic that Spanish artist Vicente Romero is a true talent in the most demanding genres: portraiture, nude and still life.
His extraordinary draughtsmanship and mastery of light and shadow, allied to his affinity for still life colour and composition make him one of Spain's most gifted artists.
In a modern world driven by fashion and novelty, where art schools choose conceptual ability above the more "mundane" skills of drawing and painting; representational art of this type may not seem "sexy", but I guarantee it will last longer than a stuffed fish and weather beyond many of the abstract compositions that litter many galleries today.
What's more, you don't need a PhD in Contemporary Fine to appreciate it. You just need to look!
