"Yvonne Clergerie, who is also a painter, has a great mastery of bronze.

She excels in the reproduction of slender young women that combines form, harmony and balance. Perhaps it is my familiarity with the old paint that makes me even more appreciate the charm of these female statues which contrast with such distorted representations of women.

I appreciate the developments of contemporary art that seek to go beyond mere representation and to highlight aspects not visible on the representation. Despite this, I do not hide my pleasure to finally percieve the womain through the art of Yvonne Clergerie."
